This morning we kicked off our first club with the Balingua Futbol club. Probably one of the best facilities we have ever been at. Locker rooms, club house, etc. The field we played on is normally reserved for their semi pro team or special events. We got a chance to play on that field.
As I watched this team warm up it was very obvious it was a much better team than we played last night. Very big and very skilled we had to step back and watch their warm up drills its something to see.
The girls stepped up right off the bat and took it too them. The huge fields were our advantage. We took a 7-0 lead into the half. We transitioned so well the other team could not recover or adjust to our speed.
I challenged the girls to possesion soccer in the 2nd half and would only allow them to shoot out side the 18. We essentially played keep away for the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half. The final was 10-0. Too many different players that scored to list them all. The highlight was Emma Gartner goal in the closing minutes.
We are in a heat wave here so the games were fairly warm. The bad is the water is all carbonated here with very little ice available. One of those European differences in ammenities. The girls struggled to stay hydrated.
We barbecued with the other team and the girls got a long very well. Now off to our second game of the day with Sonesta Futbol at 3

Great news! WOW....what domination!!! They must beplaying their butt's off. We are all so proud of them!!! Make sure someone tells them that! Keep it up!
